THE IMPORTANCE OF OXYGEN | BY JAY POSTMA & TOM CLAYLENS
This is a 1 CPD trial video we have made for you to access for free, to show you what Brain & Neuroplasticity Online Learning is all about.
Oxygen is essential to life. We can go without food for weeks, without water for days, but air for just a few brief minutes! Our innate way of breathing has been altered due to big environmental changes like chronic stress, sedentary lifestyles, unhealthy diets, overheated homes and lack of fitness. This results in chronic overbreathing.
The amount of oxygen your muscles, organs, brain and other tissues are able to use is NOT entirely dependent on the amount of oxygen in your blood. We will explain how it is the amount of CO2 that determines how much of this oxygen your body can use by demonstrating the ‘Oxygen Advantage” concepts. Topics include:
- How to reduce chronic overbreathing
- The Body Oxygen Level Test (BOLT)
- How to increase your BOLT score
- Oxygen delivery and extraction factors
- How to improve oxygenation using manipulative therapy (adjustments)
- Autonomic nervous system regulation using breathing techniques
This 1 CPD module (approx. 1 hour) can be taken complimentary, as a way to familiarize yourself with our style of presentation. Hopefully this will encourage you to take our ‘Essential Series’ of seminars online- as a way to bring you up to speed regarding the functional neurologic concepts that we cover throughout our (live) seminars.
